Privacy Policy
This policy explains how HipHype Tech ("HipHype", "we", "us") handles information when our clients connect their QuickBooks Online company to a HipHype application ("the App").
1. Information we access
With the explicit permission of an authorized QuickBooks administrator, the App accesses only the QuickBooks Online data needed to provide the service agreed with that client, typically customers, invoices, payments and related amounts and dates.
We do not access or store QuickBooks passwords. Sign-in is handled entirely by Intuit.
2. How we use information
- To display reports and dashboards agreed with our client, such as invoice payment status and revenue summaries.
- To maintain and troubleshoot the connection and the App.
We do not sell, rent or share client data with third parties for marketing or any other purpose.
3. Storage and security
- Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
- QuickBooks access tokens are stored encrypted in a secure secrets store and are never placed in source code.
- We store only the fields required for the agreed dashboards.
- Access to client data is limited to the named engineers working on that client's project.
4. Data retention and deletion
We keep client data only for as long as the client uses the App. When a client disconnects the App or ends the engagement, we delete stored QuickBooks data and access tokens within 30 days, or sooner on request.
5. Third-party services
The App runs on reputable cloud hosting providers that process data on our behalf under their own security commitments. Intuit's handling of your QuickBooks data is governed by Intuit's own privacy statement.
6. Your choices
You can disconnect the App at any time from within QuickBooks Online, or by contacting us. You may also ask us what data we hold about your company, or ask us to delete it.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last changed.
